NEXT CITY: PLANNING FOR A NEW ENERGY AND CLIMATE FUTURE
The Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning and the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, are pleased to host the International
Urban Planning and Environment Association's 10th Symposium (UPE10). The Symposium will be held in Sydney, Australia from 24-27 July 2012.
The overarching focus for the UPE 10 program is the Next City: Planning for a New Energy and Climate Future.
Following earlier Symposia held in the US, the Netherlands, South Africa, the UK, Thailand, Germany and China, UPE10 will provide a lively forum for
international exchange between researchers, urban planners, policy makers and business leaders who contribute to the development of global sustainable cities.
The Symposium will be held at the historic University of Sydney campus, located near major attractions including the Opera House and Sydney Harbour,
as well as a number of significant urban renewal sites and cultural precincts.
